Eileen Costello, M.D., is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine and the Chief of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Boston Medical Middle. She maintains a primary care practice with a focus on children with developmental differences and mental health disorders. She and Dr. Klass are the co-authors of Quirky Kids: Understanding and Helping Your Child Who Doesn't Fit In (Ballantine, 2003). Perri Klass, 1000.D., is Professor of Pediatrics and Journalism at New York Academy. She writes regularly on topics of relevance to children and families, including the weekly column, "The Checkup," in The New York Times. She teaches pediatric residents in the chief care program at Bellevue Hospital in New York. She is the National Medical Manager of Reach Out and Read.
